He attended school in Oklahoma. About thirty years ago, he came to Lawton to live and worked in the Food Service Department where he retired after twenty-five years of service. In the year of 1939, he met and was united in Holy Matrimony to Jimmie Lee Barnes. A few years back, he placed his membership withe the St John Baptist Church where he served as one of the Deacons. We shall all miss Brother Dixon. He was loved by all who had contact with him. Sunday evening he departed this life, leaving to mourn his demise: a loving wife; one daughter, Pearl Moore of Los Angeles California; one son, Ollie Dixon Jr. of Pawnee Oklahoma, a sister, Audra White of Claremore, Oklahoma; one uncle Emery Metcalf of Tulsa Oklahoma, four nephews, James White, Rosham White, Cortez White and Norvett Dixon; four nieces, Iris Patterson, Louis Mullens, Dorothy Grimmet and Vanilla Johnson; one grandson, Dwight Eric Moore of Lawton, Oklahoma and a host of great nephews and nieces, other relatives and countless friends. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Comanche County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/comanche/comanche.html
