::Dodson Cemetery--Dodson TX

Lelon E. Downs

WELLINGTON - Lelon E. Downs, 94, died Monday, March 29, 2004.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Adams Funeral Home Chapel with 
the Rev. Kevin Everett, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. 
Burial will be in Dodson Cemetery in Dodson.

Mrs. Downs was born April 24, 1909, to Murd Lee and Dora Hopkins 
Johnson in Dodson. She married Robert B. Downs on April 18, 1939, in 
Lawton, Okla.

Survivors include two daughters, Freida Downs Marsh of Huntsville and 
Myrna Lloyd of Dallas; a son, Van Dempsey of Clovis, Calif.; five 
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Dodson Cemetery.
