Denton, 74, Cache, will be at 2 p.m Monday in Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Royce Couch and the Rev. Harold Dixon officiating. Mr. Denton died Wednesday at his home following a lengthy illness. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. He was born May 2, 1923, in Lawton. He joined the Army on Feb. 4, 1945, and served during World War II and the Korean War. He was honorably discharged on Feb. 29, 1964. He married Georgia Lee Thompson. She died Dec. 19, 1977. He married Joyce Giles Daugherty on July 26, 1978. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2832 and Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Jerry, Tampa, Fla.; two stepsons; David Ray Daugherty and George Lynn Daugherty, both of Cache; two daughters: Becky Bohnen, Columbia, Mo., and Vicky Dishong, Melbourne, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
