Christopher Steven Dennison, 23, of 223 Skyline Drive, Washburn, North Dakota 58577, passed away at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center, Oklahoma City, after a strong and brave nine-month battle with Acute Lymphatic Leukemia (ALL). A Memorial Service was held at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Following full military honors, he was flown with military escort to Bismarck, North Dakota where services were held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on March 16th. Burial was at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery. Military honors were presented by local Veteran organizations and the North Dakota and Utah Army National Guard, the flag was presented to his mother by Utah Brigadier General Hooper of Utah. PFC. Christopher S. Dennison was born in Williston, ND to Steven and Debbie Dennison, being the second of five children. Christopher had earned the coveted distinction of being an Eagle Scout before graduating from Bismarck High School, in 2002. After high school he served an honorable two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ogden, Utah. His mission and first goal in his life, was to serve his Heavenly Father. He attended Weber State University, in Ogden, majoring in construction management, and joining the ROTC. PFC. Christpher S. Dennison enlisted in the U.S. Army as part of the Utah National Guard in March 2006. He proceeded to Fort Sill, Okla., in May 2006 to attend basic combat training. His second goal was to serve his country with honor. He was then assigned to Alpha Battery, First Battalion, 79th Field Artillery as part of Class 24-06, where he completed five weeks before becoming ill with ALL Leukemia. He remained a member of the Peace through Victory Battalion throughout his long, arduous nine-month battle with ALL Leukemia before succumbing to the disease on the sixth of March, 2007. Christopher was an honest, compassionate and dedicated young man. He always worked hard and accomplished many goals in his life. He is remembered for always having a smile that lit up the world. He loved his family, animals and the outdoors, but especially his Heavenly Father, Savior, Family, Church and Country. He was deeply loved and will always be remembered in the hearts of many. Throughout his life and in his final battle he touched many lives and taught us all to have faith and believe. He is survived by his parents, Steven and Debbie; his sisters, Satina, including her husband, Nathan Tolman, Kimberly, Holly and Rebecca; his grandparents, Nina Dennison and Milton and Elaine Zimbelman; as well as his uncle, Bruce Dennison, his aunt Patty Dennison, and his uncle Mark and aunt Connie Berger.
