All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Mount Olivet Cemetery--Pauls Valley OK Lawton Constitution August 25, 2003 Ivon Evans-Day Graveside service for Ivon Evans-Day, 84, Lawton will be at 2 p.m. today at Mount Ollivet Cemetery, Pauls Valley, with the Rev. Tom Willoughby, assistant pastor, Lawton First Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Evans-Day died Saturday, August 23, 2003, at a local nursing center. Arrangements are by Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. She was born March 23, 1919, in Pauls Valley to Bradley Hagen and Della Baily Thomas. She married Frank Cleveland Evans in December 1969. She later married George Day on Sept. 20, 2000, in Lawton. She graduated from Pauls Valley High School, received her bachelor's degree from East Central University, and her master of education from the University of Oklahoma. She was a school teacher for Wynnewood Public Schools, Lawton Public Schools and retired from Towson, Md., Public Schools. She had taught for 37 years. Survivors include a brother, Charles Chiton Thomas, Montgomery, Ala.; and the thousands of students in her classes over the years.
