ETTER, 51, a retired Fort Sill fireman, died at 10:50 a.m. Monday of injuries received when the pickup he was working under slipped off a jack and crushed his chest. The accident occurred at the ETTER's home some two hours earlier. Funeral services will be Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church. Rev. Dennis MEYERS, Pastor of the Assembly of God Church, Fletcher, and Rev. KROPP, pastor of Or Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Sterling will officiate and burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery under Robins Funeral Home, Fletcher. Mr. ETTER was born on January 15, 1922 in Rush Springs, Fletcher area. He served in the Army during World War II from 1942-45. He received the Purple Heart after being wounded in action with the 3rd Division 7th Army in Europe. He and Theresa NUZZO were married on December 13, 1945 in Lawton. He received a medical retirement from the Fort Sill Fire Department in 1965. Survivors in addition to his wife include 2 sons; 1 daughter; 2 grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Ella ETTER MORRISON, Star Route, Lawton, 3 brothers, and 9 sisters.
