Foster Jr. Funeral for Lloyd J. Foster Jr., 83, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mike Yancy, pastor, Bible Missionary Church, Lawton, officiating. Mr. Foster died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at a local hospital. Burial with military honors will be at Cache Cemetery. He was born Sept. 9, 1919, in Blakes, Va., to Lloyd J. Sr. and Laura Mitchum Foster. He lived in Virginia until 1942 when he was inducted into the U.S. Army. His military awards include the Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze service stars, World War II Victory Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Service Star and the Honorable Service Lapel Button World War II. He was honorably discharged from the Army in December 1945. He spent the next 50 years in the concrete business, beginning with Certified Red-D-Mix Concrete Company in 1946. He retired from Atlas-Tuck Concrete Company in 1996. He married Lois B. McDonald in Lawton on Oct. 31, 1942. She died Aug. 24, 1971. He married Gwendolyn L. Fultz in Lawton on Feb. 10, 1978. She died Nov. 22, 2002. Survivors include six children and their spouses: Steve Foster; Dennis Foster and his wife, Linda; Rick Foster and his wife, Sherry; Jim Foster and his wife, Donna; Loyed Fultz and his wife, Renee; and David Fultz and Leah Woods, all of Lawton; three sisters: Margaret South, Blakes, Va.; Jane Hogg, Wake, Va.; Alvine Brown, Glenns, Va.; two brothers: Ellsworth Foster, Churchview, Va.; and Willie Winford Foster, Wake; 25 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
