Born Jan. 17, 1915 in Lawton, OK, passed away at home in Cerritos, CA on Feb. 25, 2004. A Californian since 1929, Garland worked at Firestone Tire & Rubber from 1933 until he retired in 1977. He is survived by his wife Connie of 22 years; daughter, Joyce; son, Garland, Jr.; step-daughters, Karen, Tonya, Kathy, Donna, Tina; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends. Services were held at Miller-Mies Mortuary, Downey, CA on Sat., Feb. 28th.
