All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Sunset Memorial Gardens--Lawton OK Lawton Constitution 19 Jun 2003 Harold Ealem Faries Funeral for Harold Ealem Faries, 84, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Burch, pastor, Grandfield First Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Faries died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at a local care center. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. He was born Oct. 1, 1918, north of Lawton, to Robert Ealem and Annie Penelope Sanders Faries. He was raised in the Lawton area and graduated from Elgin High School in 1940. He married Verna Mae Reeder on Feb. 16, 1940, in Duncan. She died Dec. 30, 1994. He was a mechanic and a school bus driver for Elgin High School for several years. He worked for OK Transfer and Storage as a mechanic and drove a wrecker for A-1 Wrecker service for more than 19 years. He retired in 1982. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Claudette and Tom Hamilton, Lawton; and Virginia and Jim Murphy, Bowie, Texas; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great- grandchildren.
