Ford Funeral for Lee Denver Ford, 71, Lawton, will be at 1 p.m. today at New Post Chapel, Fort Sill, with Chaplain Maj. Goff officiating. Mr. Ford died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, in a Norman veterans center. Burial with military honors will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Howard-Harris Funeral Services, Oklahoma City. He was born June 10, 1931, in Ennis, Texas, to Haze and Katie Mae Ford. He attended Oak Lawn High School in Waxahachie, Texas. He enlisted in the Army, and served 26 years. His awards include the National Defense Service Medal with oak leaf cluster; Good Conduct Medal, seventh award; Army Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster; Overseas Service Bars, second award; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 device; Vietnam Service Medal with four service stars; and Republic of Vietnam and Gallantry Cross with Palm, Expert Rifle. After retiring from the military, he worked for the City of Lawton and the Fort Sill Casualty Department. He was a member of the Ranch Oaks Improvement Association. He married Gertrude A. Bowman. She died June 12, 2002. Survivors include a son, Milton E.
