William B. Carlin II, rector, Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, officiating. Mrs. Glasgow died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, in Branson, Mo. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. She was born May 5, 1925, in Lawton, to Charles William and Lelia Olive Melton Glasby. She graduated from Scott's Bluff High School in Nebraska. She was the advertising manager for the Graham News in Graham, Texas, and for Montgomery Ward's. She then worked for civil service as a graphic artist before retiring after 20 years. She was an artist, and received many awards for her artwork during the Gulf War. She was a member of Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church. She served in the church choir and was the Episcopal Youth Fellowship leader. She was also a member of the Lawton/Fort Sill Art Guild, Lawton Community Theater, Arts for All and helped start the Lawton Garden Club. She restored much of the artwork that is at the Holy City of the Wichitas and also painted many pieces for the Holy City. Survivors include two daughters: Pamela Glasgow Lathan and husband, Marvin, Branson, Mo.; and Linda Glasgow Platman, Melbourne, Fla.; six grandchildren: Paul Lathan, Branson; Lisa Enix and her husband, Randy, and Teri Andrade and her husband, Gordon, all of Lawton; Leslie Jay, Faxon; Mike Lathan and his wife, Monica, Oklahoma City; and David Platman, Melbourne, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren: Amanda Barber, Blake Jackiewicz, Amber Earp, Nick Lathan, Hannah Lathan, Joshua Andrade and Jordan Andrade; a sister, Jackie Lou Glasby Collins, Georgetown, Texas; and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Mary Olive Glasby. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
