All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Sunset Memorial Gardens--Lawton OK Lawton Constitution 21 Nov 2003 Kino Gillespie Funeral for Kino Gillespie, 79, Lawton, will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Dr. Gary W. Cook, pastor, Lawton First Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Gillespie died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at a local hospital. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Gillespie was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Akitaken, Japan, to Kiichiro and Haru Tsukada Takahashi. She attended schools in Japan. She married Roy M. Gillespie on Nov. 13, 1953, in Tokyo. He died Nov. 4, 1979. She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1967, and a member of the Texhoma Japanese Baptist Fellowship since 1988. Survivors include three daughters: Nobuko Olney, Phoenix, Ariz.; Rose Gillespie, Alexandria, Va.; Mary Richards, Lawton; three sons: Toshi Gillespie, Gardenerville, Nev.; Martin Gillespie, Raleigh, N.C.; and Paul Gillespie, San Diego; a brother, Yashishko Takahashi, Japan, nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel.
