He joined his sister Jessica and the four made "The Family," a family committed to sharing deep love and rich nurturing. Chase was a freshman at Eisenhower Junior High School, Lawton, Okla., where he participated in sports and other extra-curricular activities. His favorite subjects were English, Home Economics, and Technical Education. He was also a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Key Club, and Future Consumer Career Leaders of America. Young Brother Golden embraced life and enjoyed golf, swimming, and composing music using the computer and being with friends. His favorite pastime was what the tenderly referred to as "Family Time' (coordinated by him), when he spent hours with his parents and sister watching movies, playing games and joking around. He brought them much laughter and joy. A dedicated member of the St John's Missionary Baptist Church, Chase accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at a young age. He participated in Cub Scouts as well as volunteered in Children's Church. As he courageously dealt with the crosses he had to bear in life, he prayed often; and he relied upon God's words that admonish us to "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not onto thine own understanding. In lll thy ways acknowledge Him, and he shall direct thy paths" (Proverbs 3:5,6). The angels were sent to Earth on January 23, 2005 and carried Chase home to be at peace with the Lord. Leaving to cherish their fond memories of her are his parents, of the home; a sister, Jessica Golden, Edmond, Oklah.; grandparents, Rev. Walter Tidline, Sandford N.C., and Charles J. & Elizabeth Golden, North Wilkesboro, N.C.; a special friend Kramer Wheeler, Lawton, Okla.; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by a grandmother, Mildred Tidline. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Comanche County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/comanche/comanche.html
