Green, 76, died Friday, April 9, 1999. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James P. Holley, chaplain of Hospice of Lawton Area, officiating. Burial will be in Elgin Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Green was born in Plainview, Texas, and was raised in Motley County, Texas. During World War II, he served with the Army Air Corps. He lived much of his life in Borger, Texas, where he worked in the banking industry. In 1998, he moved to Lawton. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Matador, Texas. He married Vada J. "Nita" Mize in 1943 at Motley County. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Carita D. Hutchinson of Lawton; seven brothers, Jack Green and Luther Green, both of Matador, Art Green of Flomot, Texas, Ted Green of Plainview, Texas, Donald Green of Floydada, Texas, Pat Green of Sinton, Texas and Richard Green of Texas; two sisters, Bessie Jean Williams of Matador and Juanita Pritchett of Flint, Texas; four grandchildren; and six great-granddaughters.
