Marguerite "Margie" Giles, 90 of Avondale, passed away on May 2, 2007. She was born on April 17, 1917 in Chattanooga, Oklahoma to Jess and Eva Kelley. Margie's family moved here from Oklahoma when she was just an infant. She was a member of Hamblen Chapel which was started by her father in 1959. She was also a Sunday School Teacher and an administrator there for many years. She was devoted to family and church. She is survived by her children: Wesley Giles, Lonnie Giles and wife, June, Carol Ward and husband, John, Frances Gentile and husband, Jerry, David Giles and wife, Karen; siblings: Frances Pauline Bittle, Melza Verne Kelley and wife, Jean, Dennis Kelley and wife, Mary; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great- grandchildren; and many more beloved family and friends and kids at church who called her grandma. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 7th at 10am with a funeral service at 11am at Hamblen Chapel, 1614 S. 111th Ave. in Cashion, Arizona, with burial to follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, AZ. Under the direction of Carmen Terra Shultz of Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel in Goodyear, AZ.
