Mr. Hicks died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at his home. Burial will be at Frederick Memorial Cemetery. He was born Jan. 28, 1956, in Lawton, to Joe Ray Hicks Sr. and Rosabell Jean Fobb Hicks. He grew up in Frederick, attended Frederick Schools and graduated from high school in 1974. He married Katherine Harjo in 1974 in Frederick. He worked as a mechanic for Dallas Airmotive, renamed Aviall, in Frederick. When the company relocated to Dallas, he also transferred. He returned to Frederick in the early 1990s, and to Seminole in 1997.
