Doug Passmore, pastor, First Baptist Church East, officiating. Mr. Hawkey died Saturday, April 5, 2003, in Lawton. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. He was born Aug. 14, 1978, in Lawton, to Alan and Janice Ewing Hawkey. He grew up in Lawton, and attended school at Eisenhower Junior and Senior High School. He was self-employed in the construction and electrical business. He was formerly employed at Unico. Survivors include a son, Jacob Hawkey, Cheyenne, Wyo.; his mother and stepfather, Jan and Dick Ethell, Lawton; his father and stepmother, Alan and Cherie Hawkey, Apache; a brother, Scott Ethell, Lawton; his paternal grandparents, Lewis and Veda Hawkey, east of Lawton; four uncles: Darrel Hawkey, Kevin Hawkey, Duane Reynolds and Dennis Reynolds; three aunts: D.J. Powell, Janet Stephens and Gina Hawkey; and several cousins.
