Hughes Madgelene "Madge" E. Hughes, 85, of Pendleton, Ore., died April 27, 2006, at a hospital in Pendleton.Born in Chattanooga, Okla., she was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 40 years before moving to Pendleton, Ore., two years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tierra Buena for 30 years. Survivors include two daughters, Lana Nightingale of Yuba City and LaDonna Sicafoose of Nine Mile Falls, Wash.; two brothers, Buddy Bryant and Joe Bryant, both of Texas; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus Hughes; a sister, June Smith; five brothers, Kenneth Bryant, Jimmie Bryant, Jack Bryant, Ronnie Bryant and Bob Bryant; and a grandson. Services: Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Ullrey Memorial Chapel in Yuba City. A graveside service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sutter Cemetery, 7200 Butte Ave., Sutter.
