All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Sunset Memorial Gardens--Lawton OK Becker Funeral Home Obit Gary Ross Haxton Age 48, Cache- Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Trinity Baptist Church with Adam Lamle, officiating. Mr. Haxton died Tuesday in Little Rock, Arkansas. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. He was born October 14, 1956 in Hobart to Dennis and Jean Walker Haxton. He grew up in Mt. View, Oklahoma, and moved to Cache in 1971. He was a 1974 graduate of Cache High School where he was class president, quarterback of the football team and a high school All-American as well as ran track. Following graduation he attended Oklahoma State University and later graduated with honors from Cameron University with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. He married Joyce Garrett on August 1, 1985 in Lawton. He had worked for Dallas Howard Construction Company for fifteen years as a foreman and began working at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company around 1990 and was employed there at the time of his death. He was a member of the Victory Baptist Fellowship in Cache. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Ross Haxton, of the home; his parents, Dennis and Jean Haxton, Cache; two sisters, Camy Hybsha and husband Allen, Binger, Oklahoma, and Cindy Haxton, Arlington, Texas; his maternal grandmother, Mildred "Johnnie" Walker, Mt. View, Oklahoma; four nieces, Emily and Sara Marshall, Courtney Parks and Mindy McMahan; a nephew, Aaron Dixon; several aunts and uncles.
