All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Sunset Memorial Gardens--Lawton OK Becker Funeral Home Obit Ralph Dewey Howell He was affectionately called “Dee”, and was born November 29, 1915, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, and left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on May 9, 2005. He was the youngest of seven children. Dee was preceded in death by his parents, John Riley and Ozella Cannon Howell, five sisters: Gladys, Opal, Ruby, Grace and Iva; brother, Dwayne; his wife of 51 years, Lahoma; and then another wife, Wanda, to whom he was married for 10 years. Dee is loved and survived by his sweetheart of the last three years, Ruth Ford, and her entire family: Kelly, Anita, Edsel, Patti, Jenny, and Christina Ford, Rebecca and Kenneth Clinton, Brandon and Cameron Harris, and Fabio Pinto, all “adopted” by Dee; his daughter, Donna Glasgow and her husband, Don; grandson, Steve Campbell and his wife, Mary; granddaughter, Julie Hollingsworth and her husband, Don; three great grandchildren: Dustin, Alisha, and Whitney; and one great great grandchild, Schecota; and two nieces. He will also be missed by his many friends at the Southside Senior Center. Dee was a World War II Army Veteran. He loved to play golf and was an avid golfer his entire life. Dee was very proud of making a “hole-in-one” just one week shy of his 80th birthday, in 1995. He was very fond of traveling and had traveled extensively throughout the United States. Dee was a long time member of First Baptist Church, Lawton, Oklahoma. Services will be Thursday, May 12, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the Memorial Chapel, First Baptist Church, Lawton, under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home, Lawton. The services will be officiated by Rev. Mike Bumgarner, of Norman, Oklahoma.
