Hahney Graveside service for Natalie M. Hahney, 84, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, with the Rev. Michael Larson officiating. Mrs. Hahney died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, in Altus. Arrangements are by Becker Funeral Home. She was born Sept. 21, 1919, at Syracuse, Ind., to Carl and Hazel Marriott. When she was a young girl, she moved frequently with her father, who was a career military man. She attended college at the University of Maryland. She married Col. Everett G. Hahney on June 16, 1940, at New Post Chapel, Fort Sill. He died March 21, 1995. She was past president of the Officers' Wives Club, past president of the Fort Sill Ladies Golf Association, a charter board member of the Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra, and a life master of Bridge with the U.S. Bridge Association. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Betsy and Johnny Roberts, Altus; and Lindy and Howard Choate, Rowlett, Texas; a son, Bill Hahney, Lawton; two sisters: Peg Birnie and Eloise Marriott, both of Honolulu, Hawaii; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Hahney.
