No service is planned. He was born Sept. 24, 1936, in Fletcher Okla., to Charles and Mamie Hanks. Mr. Hanks was a machinist for Weyerhaeuser Company for 32 years. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1988 from Coos Bay. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962. Mr. Hanks enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. Survivors include three sons, David F. and Kenneth M., both White City, and Samuel J. Hanks, North Bend; two brothers, Glenn, in Iowa, and Byron, Sacramento, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
