Hankins Age 91, Lawton - Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Sullivan Village Church of Christ with Rodger Schwenn, Minister, officiating. Mr. Hankins died Thursday at his residence. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. He was born August 27, 1914 in Darwin, Oklahoma, to Jesse B. and Annie V. Hankins. He moved to the Walters area as a young boy and later attended Cameron High School. He farmed for several years as a young man and had worked for Coca Cola Bottling Company. He later became part owner of Quickway Loans and worked for American National Bank in mortgage loan collections until his retirement on January 1, 1985. He was married to Elizabeth Emily Lents on June 1, 1933 in Waurika, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on October 9, 1994. He had been a charter member and deacon at the University Church of Christ and Western Hills Church of Christ. At the time of his death he was a member of the Sullivan Village Church of Christ. He was an avid domino player. Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Don and Rhonda Hankins, Lawton; a daughter and son in law, Shirley and Derald Ahlschlager, Lawton; four grandchildren, Steve and Beth Hankins, Lawton, Jeri and Barry White, Miami, Oklahoma, Dawn and Angelo Rinaldi, San Juan Capistrano, California, and Kristin and Matt Burton, McKinney, Texas; six great grandchildren, Cody and Abby Hankins, Emily and Ryan Rinaldi and Claire and Kate Burton. Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Memorial contributions may be made to the Westview Boy’s Home P.O.
