All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner 23 Feb 2003 Dr. Dolores Kinnaird Hinton TEMPLE, Texas - Dr. Dolores Kinnaird Hinton, 72, of Temple, Texas, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, in Hewitt, Texas. Service were held Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, in Memorial Baptist Church in Temple with the Rev. Cliff Herrington officiating. Dolores was born in Devol and received her doctorate in education from Baylor University in 1980. She was employed as an elementary school teacher in Fort Worth, Waco and Temple school districts from 1969 to 1979. She was a principal in the Temple and Killeen school district, retiring in 1986. She returned to the University of Mary Hardin Baylor as a professor of education and director of mid-management graduate program. Dr. Hinton spent a total of 20 years in public schools as a teacher, counselor and leader, pianist, choir member and conference leader in her role as the wife of a pastor. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, the Rev. James M. Hinton of Temple; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and MiMi Hinton of Los Angeles, and Don and Deana Hinton of Temple; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Pauline Kinnaird of Comanche; a sister and brother-in-law, Faith and Charles Keller of Lincoln, Calif.; five nephews; and one niece.
