All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Highland Cemetery--Lawton OK Becker Funeral Home Mary Catherine (Larrance) Herring Age 73, Lawton, Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at the Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Philip Seeton, Pastor, officiating. Mrs. Herring died Saturday at a local hospital. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. A wake service will be held at 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Friends may call on the family at Mr. Herring's home. She was born on May 22, 1931 in Lawton to Earl and Ruth (Dunn) Larrance. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School and graduated from Lawton High School. She married Clinton Herring on September 5, 1948 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was a homemaker and a co-owner of Gifts Galore in Lawton. Mrs. Herring later co-owned Chantilly Place in Frederick. Survivors include her husband of the home; eight children, Linda Woodman and her husband, Dick, of College Station, Texas; Clint Herring and his wife, Fran, of Tulsa; Earl Herring and his wife, Ruth, of Lawton; James Herring and his wife, Jane Ann, of Lawton; Ruth Chain and her husband, Stan, of Medicine Park; Cathy Huskey and her friend Randy Honeycutt of Lawton; Greg Herring of Lawton and Shelly Williams of Lawton; sixteen grandchildren, Bridget Herring of Tulsa; Carrie Norman and her husband, Brandon, of Fort Worth, Texas; Stuart Herring of Tulsa; Patrick Herring and his wife, Stacy, of Amarillo, Texas; Joe and Lila Trainor, both of Lawton; Chris Herring and his wife, Wendy, of Tulsa; Shelly Farrar and her husband, Tom, of Falmouth, Massachusetts; Vanessa Williams of Portland, Oregon; Shannon and Catie Huskey and Heather, Jared and Cody Williams, all of Lawton, David Woodman of Norman, and Anna Schmidt and her husband, Stephen, of Orlando, Florida; four great grandchildren, Harper Faye Herring, of Amarillo, Texas, Hannah and Caleb Woodman of Norman; Elizabeth Schmidt of Orlando, Florida, and four nieces, Donna Caldwell and her husband, Al, Carol Regan and Sharon Smitherman, all of Lawton, and Janice Whitmire and her husband, Rick, of Burleson, Texas, and numerous other relatives. Her parents, a sister, Ruth Larrance Robertson, an uncle, Fred Larrance, Jr., and a son-in-law, Randy Williams preceded her in death.
