Refugio G. Hernandez

PAMPA - Refugio G. "Cuco" Hernandez, 65, died Tuesday, April 1, 1997.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Fairview Cemetery with 
the Rev. Joe Bixenman, pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 
officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Hernandez was born in Pampa and had been a lifelong resident of Pampa. 
He married Earlene Reames in 1982 at Lawton, Okla.

He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was co-owner of the Pampa 
Athletic Club and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by a stepson, Timothy Dale Fletcher, in 1994.

Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Clifton Wayne Fletcher of Wheeler; 
six brothers, Tony Hernandez, Frank Hernandez, Joe Hernandez, Lupe 
Hernandez and Raymond Hernandez, all of Pampa, and Joaquin Hernandez of 
Seattle; six sisters, Mary Ann Felix and Mary Ellen Rodriguez, both of 
Pampa, Angela Esquivel of Belen, N.M., Lucy Cobb of Spring, Becky Erickson 
of Moore, Okla., and Elizabeth Hernandez of Colton, Calif.; and two 
grandchildren.
