Mr. Hennessee died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, in Ada. ========= Lawton Constitution August 31, 2003 Claude Hennessee Funeral for Claude Hennessee, 90, Lawton, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Paradise Valley Baptist Church, north of Lawton, with the Rev. Donny Crittendon, pastor, officiating. Mr. Hennessee died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, in Ada. Burial will be at Paradise Valley Cemetery, north of Lawton, under direction of Robbins Funeral Home, Fletcher. He was born March 29, 1913, in Holliday to William Patrick and Allie Frances Carter Hennessee. He grew up in Holiday and attended school there. He married Shirley Louella Metcalf on Sept. 28, 1932, in Lawton. She died April 25, 1993. He began working for the Lawton Fire Department in 1942. He joined the Army in 1943 and served until 1945, when he returned to the LFD. He retired in 1962 and moved to the family farm in the Paradise Valley area. Survivors include two daughters: Coletta Allison and her husband, John P., and Claudia Eschler, all of Ada; a son, Patrick Hennessee and his wife, Renee, Broken Arrow; a sister, Irene Askew, Lawton; seven grandchildren: Mike Eschler, Marla Rieg, Marcella Olson, Scott Allison, Kelley Isom, Sean Hennessee, and Kyle Hennessee; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and five sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund, Paradise Valley Baptist Church, HC 60 Box 3125, Lawton 73501.
