Elsie Jones

Elsie Jones, 87, of Canyon, died Saturday, July 24, 1999.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Brooks Funeral Directors Chapel 
with Dr. Charles Price and Michelle Findley Hostutler officiating. 
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in West Park Cemetery in 
Hereford.

Mrs. Jones was born in Comanche, Okla. and in 1927 moved to Hereford, 
where she attended Hereford High School and was a charter member of Frio 
Baptist Church. She moved to Canyon in 1986.

She married Elmer V. Jones in 1932 at Clovis, N.M. He died in 1987. Her 
daughter, Freeda Colleene Jones, died in 1937.

Survivors include two daughters, Patsy Findley and Marilyn Cope, both of 
Canyon; a sister, Ruby Sparkman of Hereford; six grandchildren; and nine 
greatgrandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life 
Enrichment Center, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79106.
