All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 1 & 2 Dec 2002 Jones, Vada Lee STERLING - Funeral for Vada Lee Jones, 73, of the Denton Community southeast of Sterling, will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Denton Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Price, Tulsa, officiating. Mrs. Jones died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at her home. Burial will be at Denton Cemetery under direction of Robbins Funeral Home, Fletcher. She was born Oct. 31, 1929, in Lawton to William Hayden and Clara Lenore Willet Reeder. She grew up and attended school in the Lawton area. She married Charles Dorman Jones on Jan. 3, 1948, in Lawton and they moved to the Denton Community, where he was a farmer. He died Dec. 18, 1999. She was a homemaker and a member of Denton Baptist Church for more than 50 years. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Gary and Elsie Jones and Charles David and Linda Jones, all of Lawton; a daughter and son-in-law: Rita and Donald Melton, Colony; a sister, Bea Johnson, Pauls Valley; two brothers: Richard Reeder, Duncan; and Clarence Reeder, Marlow; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters: Verna Faries, Juanita Erikson, Bert Huggins and Wilma Lewis; a brother, Harvey Reeder; and a grandson, Sean Pitt.
