All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Highland Cemetery--Lawton OK Lawton Constitution 21 Nov 2004 Alvin "Bo" James Funeral for Alvin "Bo" James, 65, Lawton, will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elmo Baptist Church with the Rev. David W. Cavitt officiating. Mr. James died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, in Lawton after a lengthy illness. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery under direction of Jefferson Funeral Home. He was born Nov. 12, 1939, in Talbert, La., to Major and Rose James. He attended Redding Elementary School in Talbert, and McKinley High School in Baton Rouge, La. He moved to Lawton in 1964 from Fort Smith, Ark. He married Janice Collier on Aug. 20, 1966. He was employed by the Army and Air Force Exchange, where he retired after 32 years of service. He was a City of Lawton referee for athletic games for more than 20 years. Survivors include his wife, Lawton; four children: Yvondee Crutcher; and Karen Soto Flores and her husband Jose, all of Oklahoma City; Kevin Patrick James and his wife Dianna, Lawton; and Kelly Lamonte James and his wife LaQuieta, Jacksonville, Ark.; three brothers: John Perkins and his wife Venola; and Thomas Perkins and his wife Artimese, all of Baton Rouge, La.; and Robert Perkins, Mississippi; and two sisters: Rose Mary James, Louisiana; and Iola Gray, Lawton. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Frank James; and a sister, Louise Johnson.
