All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 18 Dec 2002 Evelyn Nesbit Johnson CACHE - Funeral for Evelyn Nesbit Johnson, 88, Cache, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cache First Baptist Church with Truman Ferguson and Robert McPheters officiating. Mrs. Johnson died Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, at a Lawton care center. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Peoples Cooperative Funeral Home, Lone Wolf. She was born June 2, 1921, in Montana, Ark., to Fred and Maude Hardgrave Kloss. She married Charles J. Johnson Jr. on Dec. 24, 1938, in Clark, Ark. They moved to Cache in 1958. She was a homemaker until her children were grown, and then she worked at Kress, Anthony's, TG & Y and Gibson's. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Cache. Survivors include her husband; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Travis and Marilyn Johnson, Tucson, Ariz.; Charles Johnson, Cache; and Johnny and Judy Johnson, Fort Worth; two daughters: Donna Durkee, Moore; and Anita Smith, Cache; a brother and sister-in-law, Maxie and Joan Kloss, Tulsa; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
