All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Sunset Memorial Gardens--Lawton OK Becker Funeral Home Obit 7 Nov 2005 Betty Jo Johnson Age 73, Lawton - Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the Faith Bible Church with Pastor Leonard Reimer, Bill Yoast and Rev. John Heidebrecht, officiating. Mrs. Johnson died Monday in Lawton. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. She was born January 26, 1932 in Lawton to Charles and Mabel Weston. She grew up in Lawton and was a 1950 graduate of Lawton High School. She was primarily a homemaker but had worked for City National Bank as well as a cashier for Hillis Grocery Store and Mac’s Grocery. She later worked as a child care provider in her home. She was a member of Faith Bible Church and had been the Awana secretary. She married Odice Wesley Johnson, Sr. on May 1, 1954 in Lawton. He died August 7, 2004. Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Sheila and Kent Jennings, Tulsa, Oklahoma; a son, Odice Wesley Johnson, Jr., Lawton; four grandchildren, Amber Wiseman, Tulsa, Chris and Brandon Johnson, Lawton, and Max Johnson, Oklahoma City; three great grandchildren, Joseph Wesley, Andrea Bailey and Allison Grace Wiseman, all of Tulsa; her mother, Mabel Weston, Lawton; a sister and brother in law, Patsy and Edward Bard, Lawton; brothers in law and sisters in law, Gayle and Glenda Johnson, Lewisville, Texas, Gary and Billie Jean Johnson, Bellevue, Texas, and Deanna and Woody Woods, The Colony, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. Her father and a grandson, Sean Blalock, preceded her in death.
