"Jim" Lovett Funeral for James E. "Jim" Lovett, 72, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cameron Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Jones, pastor, officiating. Mr. Lovett died Sunday, April 27, 2003, at a local hospital. Entombment with military honors will be at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Becker Funeral Home. He was born March 29, 1931, in Walters, to Charlie and Irene Lovett. He attended Lawton High School, and graduated from Cameron University. He was a naval veteran of the Korean War. He served from 1949-1952 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Bon Homme Richard. He married Anna Faye White on March 3, 1953, in Granbury, Texas. She died April 3, 1998. He was employed by the Fairmont Food Company, and retired after many years from the Pepsi- Cola Bottling Company. He was a member of the Lawton Jaycees and the Lions Club. He was also a member of Cameron Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday School teacher and Department Director for 30 years. Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law: Robert and Ann Lovett, Henderson, Nev.; Michael and Becca Lovett, Azle, Texas; Bruce and Lori Lovett, Auburn, Ind.; and Brian Lovett, Cocoa Beach, Fla.; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Wayne and Christine Lovett, Austin; and Bobby Dean and Carol Lovett, Geronimo; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Ronnie Underwood, Tucson, Ariz.; and 17 grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cleo Craig Memorial Cancer Research Foundation, 5002 SW Lee, Lawton 73505.
