Pearl Lenhart Pearl (Pebley) Lenhart passed away peacefully December 20, 2006, at the age of 89. Pearl's mother and father, Edna and Leonard Pebley, moved from Cache, Oklahoma to Anaheim, California when Pearl and her twin sister, Mearl, were 6 weeks old. Mr. and Mrs. Pebley were orange grove farmers in Anaheim. Pearl's brother Calvin and sister Anna Marie were born shortly after the family settled in West Anaheim. All four of the Pebley children graduated from Anaheim High School. Pearl and Mearl graduated with the Class of '35. Pearl's only child, William E. Otta (Bill) also graduated from Anaheim High School in 1957. While living in Anaheim, Pearl worked for Kwikset Locks, Cone Brothers Chevrolet and Home Oil Company. After over 30 years with Home Oil Company as their bookkeeper, she retired at the age of 63. Pearl enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. Many of her warmest memories are of the wonderful members of her church, the First Christian Church of Anaheim. She is survived by her son, William E. Otta and his wife, Nancy, of San Juan Capistrano. She is also survived by three grandsons and their wives, Mark and Christen of Fresno, David and Robin of Villa Park and Rob and Megan, also of Fresno. She has six great-grandchildren who will dearly miss her, Nicole, Jacqueline, Samuel, Lindsay, Trevor and Dylan. She is also survived by her brother and his wife, Calvin and Pat Pebley of Anaheim and her twin sister, L. Mearl Mossman now living in Northern California near her son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Terry Mossman and their family. Pearl's little sister, Anna Marie Todd predeceased her by several years. Pearl was blessed to have the love of many nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and church members. She knew she was blessed to have such a good family and community. To honor her life, a memorial service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2007, at 2:30 P.M. at Westminster Memorial Park, 14801 Beach Blvd. Westminster, CA 92683. There will be a private burial at Melrose Abby Memorial Park in Anaheim. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the First Christian Church of Anaheim, 520 W. South St. Anaheim, CA 92805.
