All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Sunset Memorial Gardens--Lawton OK Becker Funeral Home Obit 27 Dec 2005 Jim May Age 62, Elgin -Services will be at 1:30 pm Friday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Gary Pratt, Associate Pastor of the First Assembly of God, Lawton, officiating. Mr. May died Tuesday in a Lawton hospital. Burial with Fire Department Honors will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. He was born September 13, 1943 in Winnemucca, Nevada to Andy D. and Dorthy M. (Hugley) May. He retired from the Lawton Fire Department in 1995 after 26 years of service. He also worked 26 years for Southwest Salvage. He married Beverly Sue Butler on May 28, 1964 in Lawton, Oklahoma. She died September 6, 2000. He loved all his animals, his horses, rodeo and especially his Firefighter Family. Survivors Include: his companion, Edith D. Wolf, four children, Lorie A. Horton and her husband Charles of La Porte TX, Jimmy May and wife Sherry of Cache, OK, Steven May and his wife Mandi of Central High, OK and Michelle May of La Porte, TX. One brother, Bill May of Norman, OK 11 Grandchildren, Krystale May, Kelly Horton, Laura Horton, Mitchell Bagley, Melissa Nichols, Ashley Spears, Maegen May, Michael May, Shyann May, Gracie May, and Brittnie May. He is also survived by 2 Great Grandsons, Kobe Nichols and Wyatt Spears. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a Grandson Cody May.
