Evelyn Meadows

Evelyn Meadows, 77, of Amarillo, died Monday, Dec. 1, 1997.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Robison Chapel of the 
Plains at First Christian Church with Dr. Ronald O. Sumter, interim 
minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Boxwell 
Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle.

Mrs. Meadows was born in Lawton, Okla., and had been a resident of 
Amarillo since 1948. She was a homemaker and a member of First Christian 
Church and the Congenial Couples Sunday School class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carol Meadows, in 1995.

Survivors include three daughters, Pat Kornegay of Dallas, and Mary 
Barcroft and Jayne Coffman, both of Amarillo; three sisters, Aulne Rice of 
Amarillo, Mary Jane Wilson of Lawton, Okla., and Laverne Lawley of 
Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family will be at 4900-B S. Georgia St. They request memorials be to 
the First Christian Church endowment fund, 3001 Wolflin, Amarillo, Texas 
79109.
