All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Sterling Cemetery--Sterling OK Lawton Constitution 30 Jun 2003 Mamie Mansel FLETCHER - Funeral for Mamie Larue Mansel, 90, Elgin, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fletcher Christian Church with Adraine Smith, Sterling, officiating. Mrs. Mansel died Saturday, June 28, 2003, in Lawton. Burial will be at Sterling Cemetery under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher. She was born Oct. 15, 1912, in Montague, Texas, to Nancy and Delbert Blackburn and came to Oklahoma as a child. She married Earl Leroy Mansel on Dec. 20, 1933, in Sterling. He died Feb. 5, 1995. She had lived most of her adult life in Elgin and was an Avon representative for 28 years. Survivors include a brother, Frank Blackburn, Lawton; a brother-in- law, David H. Mansel, Cyril; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters: Jocie Hise, Tressie Cross, Alta Willis and Mabel Crow; and a brother, Millard Blackburn.
