Funeral was Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Tulsa. Mrs. Minor died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at her home. Arrangements were by Fitzgerald’s Southwood Colonial Chapel, Tulsa. She was born April 2, 1929, in Lawton, to Otto and Frances Roberts King. She was raised by her mother after her father’s death in 1934. She graduated from Lawton High School in 1947, and Mercy Hospital Nursing School, Oklahoma City, in 1952. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Tulsa in 1968. She was past president and long-standing member of the Tulsa Ballet Guild, and was a volunteer for the Mental Health Association of Tulsa. She was also a member of the George L. Cross Century Council, and a life member of the University of Oklahoma Association. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Dwane B. Minor; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. David B. and Cindy Minor, Tulsa; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Beth and Dan Morrissey, Spokane, Wash.; five grandchildren: Alden, Emily and Blake, all of Tulsa; and Greg and Graham, both of Spokane; her lifelong friend, Jean Patton, Lawton, and her friend’s daughter, Jaime Bower, Lawton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her Aunt Mozelle, Portland, Ore., and her godson, Greg Patton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tulsa Ballet, Catholic Charities, Hospice of Green Country or the donor’s favorite charity.
