Mrs. Morse died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at a Lawton nursing home. ========= Lawton Constitution 15 Dec 2003 Winnie Morse STERLING — Funeral for Winnie Morse, 91, Sterling, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sterling First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Rogers, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Morse died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003, at a local nursing center. Burial will be at Sterling Cemetery under direction of Robbins Funeral Home, Fletcher. She was born Nov. 4, 1912, in McKinney, Texas, to William Austin and Margaret Evelyn Mantooth Large. She moved to the Sterling area, where she attended school and graduated from Sterling High School. She married Vernon Everett Morse on April 4, 1931. He died Jan. 10, 1976. She was a homemaker and worked on the family farm most of her life. Survivors include a son, Roy Morse and his wife, Christa, Lawton; two daughters: Helen Powell, Sterling; and Verna Seigler and her husband Eddie, Aiken, S.C.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Donald E. Morse; two brothers: William and Wallace Large; and a sister, Juanita Reynolds.
