Leonard Reimer, Pastor, Rev. John Heidebrecht, Bill Yoast and George Lewis, officiating. Mr. Nottingham died Sunday in Lawton. Burial with Navy honors will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. He was born July 16, 1919 in Mountain View, Oklahoma, to Nathan and Lena Nottingham. He grew up and attended school in Mountain View. He came to Lawton in the late 1930’s. He married Dorothy Gibson on August 5, 1939 in Walters, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on April 11, 2001. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy. He was retired from Civil Service at Fort Sill after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Faith Bible Church and loved to fish. Survivors include two daughters, Joan Lewis and husband, George, and Debbie Martinez and husband, Frank, all of Lawton; five grandchildren, Sherri Entler, Louie Lewis, Wade Lewis, Candy Kephart and Casey Yoast; 10 great grandchildren, Cameron, Tyler, Hunter, Spencer, Layton, Madison, Malone and Briah Lewis, Kendal Kephart and Jacob Yoast; three sisters, Mignon Williamson, Lawton, Peggy Stewart, Pineville, Louisiana, and Judy Huff, Wichita Falls, Texas; Numerous nieces and nephews. Six brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
