All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Tina Marie Newman Tina Marie Newman, 39, of Amarillo died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Amarillo Bible Church with Bob Burns, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Hereford by N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Newman was born in Honolulu. She graduated from MacArthur High School in Lawton, Okla., in 1982 with a choir scholarship. She moved to Amarillo in 1990 from Lawton and married Kerry Newman in 1992. She was a cook for the military, a Native American organization and several medical facilities in Amarillo. At the time of her death, she was employed at Craig Methodist Retirement Community. Mrs. Newman was a member of the Texas Intertribal Organization and of Amarillo Bible Church, where she was involved with the youth group. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Kimberly Locke, Valerie Locke and Amanda Newman, all of Amarillo; three sisters, Hope Lea of Amarillo, and Ruby Kenyon and Theresa Lea, both of Lawton; two brothers, Robert Lea of Austin and Brian Carter of Amarillo; her mother, Katie Edenso of Amarillo; her father, Sterling Wayne Lea of Lawton; her father- in-law, Alan Newman of Hereford; and several nieces and nephews.
