'Dollie' Niemeyer Funeral for Darleth M. "Dollie" Niemeyer, 85, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with the Rev. Don Howard, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Niemeyer died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004 in Lawton. Burial will be in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, under direction of Becker Funeral Home. She was born Nov. 19, 1918, in Tripoli, Iowa, to Nick Robert and Sarah Biermann Ambrose. She grew up and graduated from high school in Tripoli. She married Nelson E. Niemeyer on Nov. 12, 1939, in Iowa Falls, Iowa. He died Dec. 12, 1979. She was a homemaker and accompanied her husband during his military career. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where she was involved in the Tabitha Guild and the Altar Guild. She was a member of Lawton Military Widows Association. She was a bowler and a member of several bowling associations, including the American Bowling Association. She served as past president of her bowling league. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Norman Nelson, Sacramento, Calif.; a brother and sister-in-law, Lowell and Jean Ambrose, Lawton; a sister, Beverly Frazier, Austin, Texas; five grandchildren: Paul Nelson, Scott Nelson, Karla Murphy, Cheryl Hayes and Kim Dodds; five great-grandchildren; a great-great- granddaughter; and a sister-in-law, Bernice Ambrose, Iowa. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Mae Mulkey; a brother, Everett Ambrose; and a sister, Betty Ormston.
