All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Chattanooga Cemetery--Chattanooga OK Lawton Constitution 28 Nov 2003 Crystal Gladys Goodwin Ochsner CHATTANOOGA — Funeral for Crystal Gladys Goodwin Ochsner, 98, Chattanooga, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Chattanooga First Baptist Church with the Revs. Jamie Powell, Virgil Goodwin and Carl Rudek officiating. Mrs. Ochsner died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at her home. Burial will be at Chattanooga Cemetery under direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home, Frederick. She was born Oct. 11, 1905, in Davidson, to J.L. and Belle Goodwin. After graduating from Manitou High School in 1926, she earned a teacher’s certificate from Central State Teachers College, Edmond. She came to Chattanooga in 1928 as a schoolteacher. She married Charlie Ochsner on Sept. 6, 1930. He died in January 1992. She was a lifelong member of Chattanooga First Baptist Church, where she taught children’s Sunday School for 43 years. Survivors include two sons: Lester and Arthur Oschner, both of Chattanooga; a daughter, Charlene Carson and husband, Maurice Carson, Salado, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Jenelle Ochsner, Hempstead, Texas; and former daughters-in-law Anna Marie and Linda Ochsner, both of Chattanooga; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews, and a brother, Virgil Goodwin and his wife, Dorothy, Waxahachie, Texas. She was preceded in death by a son, Chester Ochsner, infant great- granddaughter, Diana Johnson; her father and mother; five sisters: Leilar Goodwin, Myrtle Goodwin, Helena Goodwin, Estelle Roberts and Hazel Atkins; and three brothers: Jack, Marvin and Woodrow Goodwin. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
