Ponder LAWTON, Okla. - Arthur R. Ponder, 77, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Burial with military honors will be in the Post Cemetery at Fort Sill. Mr. Ponder was born in Pasadena, Calif. A veteran of World War II, he joined the Army Air Corps in 1941, retiring from the renamed U.S. Air Force in 1964. During the mid-1960s, he worked for Amarillo's KGNC-TV. In 1968, Mr. Ponder moved to Lawton, where he worked for the civil service at Fort Sill as a film producer and director, designing Army training films. He was a member of the Wichita Wildlight Photographic Society and the Evening Optimist Club. He married Eleonore A. "Jerry" Zdrzalek in 1955 at Frankfurt, Germany. Survivors include his wife; and a sister, Virginia Gell of San Diego, Calif.
