Mrs. Pennington died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, in Lawton. ========= Lawton Constitution 13 & 14 Nov 2003 Eula Jeannette Pennington Funeral for Eula Jeannette Pennington, 88, Lawton, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie and the Rev. Jim McGuire, associate pastor, First Baptist East, Lawton, officiating. Mrs. Pennington died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, in Lawton. Burial will be at Letitia Cemetery, east of Lawton, under direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. She was born Dec. 27, 1914, in rural Comanche County to Earnest and Bessie Davis Stephens. She attended Cameron when it was a high school and received her teaching certificate from Edmond College during World War II. She taught school at Allen-Dale and Prosperity Schools, southeast of Lawton. She married Marshall Pennington on June 20, 1933. They farmed east of Geronimo until 1959 and then moved into Geronimo. She was a charter member of Geronimo First Baptist Church and a piano player, Sunday school teacher and church secretary. She retired from McMahon Tomlinson Nursing Center after 16 years of service. She became a member of First Baptist East after moving to Lawton. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Steve and Dorothy Pennington, and Johnny and Kay Pennington, all of Lawton; two daughters and two sons-in-law: Dorothy and Bill Lewis, and Marsha Duggins, all of Lawton; and Fred Baughman; 12 grandchildren and their spouses: Dr. Gail Lewis, David Lewis, Byron and Cindy Pennington, Mark and Janie Pennington, Jimmy and Kelley Baughman, Melissa and Joe Goodloe, J.J. Pennington, Christina and George Donelson, Michael Jr. and Brande Duggins, Doug and Julie Jackson, Debbie and Howard Ashwood and Delbert Jackson; 14 great- grandchildren: Matthew, Amber, Kristopher and Conner Pennington, Danielle Lewis, Dylan Duggins, Vaughan and Corbin Goodloe, Tonya and Sara Jackson, Michael Ashwood and his wife, Kimberly, Thomas Ashwood and Donald and Kelly Sue Jackson; and two great-great-grandchildren: Debourah and T.J. Ashwood. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers: H.D., Leroy and T.R. Stephens; an infant son, Earnest Cleveland; a daughter, Ramona Baughman; and a granddaughter, Crissy Drumm.
