All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Fort Sill National Cemetery--Elgin OK Lawton Constitution 22 Jun 2003 Billy Wayne 'Uncle Bill' Parker Funeral for Billy Wayne "Uncle Bill" Parker, 70, Lawton, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Ernest Palacol Jr., officiating. Mr. Parker died Thursday, June 19, 2003, in a Lawton hospital. Burial with military honors will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin. He was born Aug. 12, 1932, in Las Vegas where he grew up and attended school. He enlisted in the Army in 1949 and was discharged in 1953. He had worked as a police officer in Arizona as well as construction. He had been a resident of Lawton since 1970. Survivors include a daughter, Donna Raite, Lawton; three sons: Billy Wayne Parker, LaPlace, La.; Terry Parker and Bobby Parker, both of Lawton; three sisters: Joyce Moser, Margaret Elliott and Ruth Perry; three brothers: Tommy, Larry and Dennis George; two grandsons: Jordan and Jacob Parker; and a great-granddaughter, Amber Raite. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Ann Parker; a granddaughter, Mandy Ann Raite; and three brothers: Lon, James and Malcolm.
