Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday in Coker Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation: 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Coker Funeral Home. R.A. married Daisy Ann Whitaker on Aug. 3, 1941, in Lawton, Okla. He served as a director of the Federal Land Bank for over 20 years, was president of the Wise County Farm Bureau for 20 years, was a longtime member of the American Milk Producers Association and received numerous awards from the Wise County Extension Education Program and the American Soil Conservation Service. R.A. was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Pinkerton. Survivors: Wife, Daisy Ann of Decatur; daughters, Virginia Ann and husband, Carlton Mann, of Greenwood and Helen Lynn and her husband, Don Alexander, of Decatur; sister, Linda Haedge of St. Paul, Minn.; brother, Bud Pinkerton of Decatur; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
