L Moss, Sulphur, Oklahoma pioneer, passed on January 5, 2005 at the age of 72, in Penrose, Colorado, where she had resided for the past 30 years. She was born in Fletcher, Oklahoma on April 1, 1932. Tommie Jean graduated in 1950 from Sulphur High School in Oklahoma. Upon graduation, she attended Clarks Business College in Topeka, Kansas, graduating in 1952. Following graduation, she married Domenico Quilico, he high school sweetheart on January 26, 1952, prior to his departure for Korea. They had four children: Anthony Edward, Domenica Jeannie, Maritza Jacqueline, and Phillip Michael; ten grandchildren followed: Francis Jean, Jacqueline Michelle, Matthew Aleen, Stephen Michael, Christina Ann, Thomas Edward, Michael, Michaela, Talia, and Shirah. During the 28 years of her husband's military career, Tommie Jean, single- handedly and alone, raised her four children for seven and one-half of those 28 years while Dom was away fighting America's wars. Tommie Jean worked for the Federal Government in the United States and overseas, where she received many commendations; letters of appreciation, and accolades. After 22 years of work for the Federal Government, 12 of them at the North American Defense Command at Cheyenne Mountain and the Space Command Center in Colorado Springs as executive secretary for several Commanders, and after an exemplary career, Tommie Jean retired on April 1, 1992. Tommie Jean, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, will be dearly missed, and forever remembered for he beauty, graciousness, compassion, loyalty, and love for her family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2005, at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses by Father Edmund Njoku of St. Benedict Parrish of Florence, Colorado. Visitation was held on Sunday from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel.
