All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 6 Jan 2003 Roper, Dorothy Bales FORT WORTH, Texas - Funeral for former Lawton resident Dorothy Bales Roper, 77, Fort Worth, Texas, will be at noon Monday at University Christian Church chapel with the Rev. Dr. Scott R. Colglazier, senior minister, officiating. Mrs. Roper died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth, Texas, under direction of Robertson Mueller Harper Funeral Home. She was born Feb. 25, 1925, to Earl and Mary Garrison Bales. She married Raymond D. Roper on Sept. 14, 1941. He died in 1997. She was a former member of First Baptist Church, Lawton. Survivors include a son, Doug Roper and his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Mary Ann Roper Humble and her husband, Steve, all of Fort Worth; grandchildren: Brian Roper and his wife, Shawn, Washington, D.C.; and Kelly and Todd Humble, Fort Worth; a brother, John Bales and his wife, Margaret, San Antonio, Texas; and several nieces and nephews including: Malcolm Bales and his wife, Betsy; Karen Bales House and her husband, Larry; Lisa Bales Edmonds and her husband, Chuck; and Andrew Bales and his wife, Nancy. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Comanche County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/comanche/comanche.html
