Riggs Funeral for Maudie A. Riggs, 90, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Donald Zickerfoose officiating. Mrs. Riggs died Tuesday, April 22, 2003, in a local care center. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. She was born June 10, 1912, in Jonesboro, Ark., to Edgar Lee and Margie V. Whatley Clark. She attended school in Pauls Valley. After moving to Lawton, she worked as a nurses' aide at Cedar Crest Manor and Comanche County Memorial Hospital. She married Paul G. Riggs in 1952, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He died in 1984. She was a member of Lawton First United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sisters and a brother-in-law: Dormilee Raymond, Shrewsbury, Mass.; and Freda and Bill Patchett, Lawton; a stepdaughter, Mary Frances Southhall, Parkersburg, W.Va.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Guy Robert Patterson; three brothers: Bob Clark, Fred Clark and D.R.
